07.05.2026 - Expansion of the measurement laboratory at sentenso
Expanded capacity and expertise in residual stresses and retained austenite
Knowledge of the residual stress state of components and samples is becoming increasingly important for understanding and improving service life under dynamic loads. sentenso offers expanded capacities and capabilities for this in its in-house laboratory.
In addition to our own X-ray Stress Analyser, an electropolishing machine for surface removal and a streak light microscope for determining measurement depth, we host the accredited measurement laboratory of the Steinbeis Transfer Centre for Spring Technology, Component Behaviour and Processes, which is run by Professor Eckehard Müller. Our customers benefit from the combined, long-standing experience of both laboratories as well as our expertise in surface treatment processes. With our in-house solution for measurement automation, batch measurements and residual stress mapping can also be carried out cost-effectively.

09.03.2026 - Innovation: Pulstec X-Ray Stress Analyser µ-X360J
Non-destructive measurement of residual stresses – precise, mobile, fast
With the new μ-X360J, our partner Pulstec presents the next evolutionary step in mobile residual stress measurement – replacing the previously established μ-X360s.
The new device generation sets standards in precision, speed and ease of use. It has been consistently designed to make measurement processes even more efficient, stable and easier to perform. Thanks to its easy positioning and short measurement times, it is ideal for flexible use both in the laboratory and directly in production.
The new μ-X360J is also compatible with our additional StressEasy software, enabling extensive measurement automation.
